I’ve got a question for you:

Could you keep running your business like this for the next 15 years?

If you’re like most small business owners I know, the answer is simply: no.

Maybe you feel like you’re constantly reinventing the wheel to get ahead. Maybe you’re juggling more balls in the air than you can count. Maybe you’re constantly rubbernecking from every new trend, tactic, or formula one of the business gurus says is the right way to grow your business. Maybe… it’s all of the above.

Or maybe, just maybe… things are operating pretty smoothly and you’re making money but not enough to live the lifestyle you’re really dreaming of or retire comfortably. And each time you try to apply a little gas to your engine, things stall out.

If you want a business that not only survives but thrives for the next 5, 10, 15, 25 years or more…

…you need to get clear on what works for you.

Profit. Power. Pursuit. has been all about what works for the business owners we interview. I’ve purposefully avoided having the same experts share the same expert advice they share on other podcasts. I love ‘em and I know you do, too, but we’ve wanted to bring you something different.

Today, I’m thrilled to announce that we’re doubling down on our focus on “what works” by relaunching Profit. Power. Pursuit. as What Works.

We’ll release our first episode under the new name soon. There’s nothing for you to do—you should keep seeing new episodes pop onto your favorite device or listening platform as you always do. They’ll just have a new name—What Works.

What Works highlights what works for real small business owners in order to give you a leg up on discovering what works for you.

Look, as a former business coach and now the founder of a support community for small business owners, I’m tired of the same old conversations about running and growing a small company today. We can talk about marketing and sales all day long. We can wax poetic about entrepreneurial rags to riches stories or personal development wisdom—but if you don’t know unique ways to develop your gifts into products, how to onboard new customers, how to work with a team, or what it takes to document your customer support—you’re not going to be around for very long.

On What Works, we deep dive with business owners from the coaching, wellness, ecommerce, business to business, writing, legal, technology, and creative industries and find out exactly what they’re doing to thrive—not merely survive. Whether you’re interested in operations, marketing techniques, hiring strategies, sales systems, or business models, we’ve got you covered.

This isn’t a how-to podcast, it’s not an expert podcast, and it’s certainly not a feel-good entrepreneurial stories podcast. This is a podcast about what’s actually working for small business owners today.

What Works is coming soon—be sure to look for our next episodes and tell your friends!
