In this episode, Tara speaks with her longtime friend Sara Villari. Sara is the founder and designer behind Girls Can Tell gift company and the owner of Occasionette a sweet gift boutique in South Philly. Sara has worked in the gift industry since 2006. First with her own line of illustrated goods, then as a community manager for Etsy.com and now at her award-winning brick & mortar retail shop. When she’s not in the shop, Sara likes to annoy her rescued pit-mix mutt Janey Dog, seek out new craft beers with her husband Eric, or putz around in her garden.

Tara and Sara talk about the decision to open a retail space, how she balances being both a wholesaler and a retail buyer, and the lessons she’s learned running two businesses.
