This gathering is designed to connect you with a community of small business owners who are thinking about (and acting on) money differently.
We’re founders, creators, service providers, designers, artists, educators, and trainers. We operate businesses of one, as well as businesses that employ small teams. Many of us have been running our businesses for 5 years or more.
When you join us, you’ll be learning from our speakers, of course. And, you’ll also be learning from other attendees. You’ll share your experiences and they’ll learn from you, too.
We’re gathering together on 2 interactive platforms: Crowdcast & Zoom.
Our keynote sessions, as well as opening remarks, integration session, and closing remarks will be hosted on Crowdcast. This platform allows you to chat with other attendees, ask our speakers questions, and access almost-immediate replays.
Our workshops and breakout discussions, as well as our welcome reception, will be hosted on Zoom. Zoom allows you to jump right into the conversation by participating on or off video, on or off mic. You’ll be able to ask questions, share your experience, and chat along with other attendees.

We know a lot of online conferences are free–so we want to explain why we’re charging for this one.
First, we’re paying each of our speakers and panelists while the industry standard has been to ask people to speak for free. Second, free online conferences have often been organized with a priority for reach & size rather than experience & quality. We’re focused on creating meaningful, high-quality experience.
Finally, we’ve been hosting online conferences for 3 years–this is the 12th we’ve hosted at The What Works Network. We know the value of gathering together, joining in an important conversation, and sharing your experiences with the group.

Are sessions recorded?
Yes! Every session will be recorded. You’ll get lifetime access to each session.
Our opening & closing receptions may include breakout rooms and recordings won’t include that segment.
Please keep in mind that we’re creating this event to be interactive and participatory. We hope you’ll prioritize attending live for as many sessions as you can if you purchase a ticket.
What's your refund policy?
There are no refunds or transfers.
What kind of technology do I need to participate?
For the best experience, you’ll want a relatively high-speed internet connection.
- Crowdcast (keynotes & integration session) does allow for a lower-speed connection via a toggle for video quality.
- Zoom allows you to call in via a phone line to support a lower-speed connection.
You’re welcome to participate on or off camera, on or off mic. There will be options for chatting along and asking questions via text in each session.
Do you offer payment options based on need?
Yes! We know this is a tough time for a lot of business owners.
We’re asking that if you have the means to pay for the conference to please purchase a ticket at full price. This helps us pay our speakers, our team, and our software partners.
If you don’t currently have the means to purchase a ticket, we ask that you confirm you meet the following criteria and then follow the instructions below:
- Your business has experienced a significant financial loss because of the Covid-19 crisis.
